Just follow these simple steps to make yummy gulab jaman at home😍😍. .
Water: 1.5 cup
Sugar: 1 cup
Powdered Milk: 1 cup
All purpose flour: 1 tbsp
Baking Powder: 1/2 tsp (please don't increase the amount)
Green Cardamom: 2 (optional)
Ghee: 1 tbsp (please don't use oil instead)
Egg: 1 medium
Liquid Milk: as required (if your dough is dry & hard, you can add milk accordingly)
Take water in pan & add sugar. Cook it on medium flame. Mix them well & bring it to simmer. Now keep it a side.
Take powdered milk, all purpose flour, baking powder & green cardamom seeds in a bowl & mix them well. Now add ghe & egg & mix them well to make a sticky & soft dough. If you feel that your dough is becoming hard & dry, then add some liquid milk to make it soft & sticky. If your dough becomes over soft, then dry some powdered milk to balance the consistency of dough. Now make the balls of the dough. While making balls, it should leave oil in your hands. Balls should be very smooth & good in texture.
Now take oil for frying in a pan & put it on fire on very low flame. Don't fry them on high flame. Fry 1 ball only to check the temprature of the oil. If there are small bubbles in oil, then it is the best temprature for frying. Now you can add other balls.
Because the temprature is low, so balls will take 10-15 minutes to fry. It will slightly changes its colour.
After getting desired color of the balls, take them out & pour them in Sheera. Dip them for at least 2 hours for best results.
